Because of federal legislation, as of September 1, 2005, residents of all states can get one free credit report from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion each year. Details on how to get your free report can be found at: http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com/. If you have received your free annual report from each of the three credit reporting agencies and still need to get a credit report, see the next paragraph.

To get a copy of your credit report for a fee, contact one of the major credit reporting agencies listed below. Unless you are on public assistance, unemployed and looking for work, or believe your credit file has inaccurate information resulting from fraud, a credit report will cost about $10.00.
